Yes That is a part of the reality of losing yourself in the story , IMO
-
yes. I hear my voice talking inside my head while reading.
-
I hear my voice as the narrator of the book.
-
YES! All the time. It is like there is a little person in there reading along with me.
-
no i don't. i just read.
-
I do. It is usually something like Judy Dench or maybe Meryl Streep. While I was reading Dolly Parton's biography I heard Dolly's voice.
-
Yes. It's my voice.
-
Yes. But then again, I also hear voices in my head when I'm *Not* reading, so it's not exactly an anomaly.
-
Yes, several, but often they get fed up and chat amongst themselves. It can be really annoying, but good for the accents
-
Yes, there it is again as I read the answers! HEY!
-
I do sometimes, then when I realize it's there, I get distracted by it. It can be really annoying. lol
-
of course. some-times i don't have to be reading.
-
No I don't hear a voice but wish I did!
-
yes, with accents and everything.
-
Sometimes I imagine a famous voice, like Vincent Price, reading to me whatever I am reading. It is like making up my own audio book.
-
Some times its me, sometimes its that BBC broadcasting corrospondant woman Fojoli. She's a nice lady to have in your head. She gets everything she wants in restaurants, and I do too because we are together. We laugh and drink wine. We tip well and buy rounds for the house when we go. Ah- me and .. whats her first name? Fojoli. I just call her Fojoli. I say "Hey!! FOjoli!! Lets go order lots of great food and wine and tip BIG and buy drinks forevery one." ANd we do. Unless its me I hear, like now. Then I can get some work done
-
Yes, how else can you read properly?
-
Yes, most of the time its my voice. But for some reason when I read the Harry Potter books it was a british accent. haha.
-
No I don't actually. Unless I'm trying really hard to pay attention to what I'm reading.
-
No, I hear in voices of the other characters - a male voice if a guy is speaking, for example.
-
No, I hear the voices of the characters... Accents and all!
-
I see the scene and I hear the characters.
-
I speed read at about 2,000 words per minute, much faster than the speed of speech, so no. The first part of the speed reading lessons is designed to teach a person how to NOT have the need to "hear" while reading ... which is a lesson that is hardest for those who use a phonetic language.
-
No. If it is something serious I am so absorbed to listen. I just absorb the idea. When I read fiction - I seem to hear different voices for the narrations and speech by characters. But never my own voice. AM I supposed to be hearing my own voice? I do not in any case.
-
I did before I learned hot to speed read. Now if I do, I'm doing it on purpose just for fun. Like if I'm reading a novel and I want to 'hear' the voice of a character or something.
-
Yes but sometimes it sounds like someone elses voice :)
-
Usually just my own. Unless it's someone I know and I've heard then I might hear their voice.
