For anyone who's ever done drugs: Have you ever been addicted, did you recover, and are there ever days when you miss doing it?

I was addicted to prescription drugs for about 10 years. I did recover..been recovered now about 8 years. Are there days I want to get high..you bet. When I am really depressed or upset..I think "if I could just get high I would be so happy".. Problem is if you take that "just 1" pill or hit, then you are on your way to addiction again. I went thru withdrawal for 6 months to get it all out of my system..don't want to ever do that again.

Done yes. Addicted no. Quite frankly I was disappointed. I think I will just stick with liquor cause it's cheaper and can process out of your system.
