  • well sort of my dad labels all african americans as the bad stero-type dirty thug. Which is not true some do carry out that stero-type but not all. Im mexican and we lived in a mostly white small town and remember one time I heard my dad tell my sister she couldnt date this black guy and it made me upset because i have good nice guy friends that have that problem the girls dad would say that. He notices i was upset and asked me why and i told him i am not white and if that happened to me I would be crushed. So..
  • Absolutely everybody has a corner of their mind which is racist, if you look deep enough, even me. I think acknowledging this is the first step to tackling racism.
  • As DavidHume said, we are all a little racist. However, openly and actively racist... pretty much all of my family. You have IRA b*stards on one side, Upper class tw*ts the other.
  • everybody is, to some extent, and it is in times of stress that it comes out, but I have met people who are to the extreme, yes. I was on a train once, speaking in indonesian with one of my students, and a man tore into us, demanding we speak in English. He was getting so irate, that I had to step between him and the child. Fortunately, a gentleman (in the true sense of the word) stepped in and told the man to shut up or get off. I have also had people slur me just because I have an Italian surname: the worst example was a doctor/specialist I went to. I was so mortified, I told my GP and he organised a boycott.
  • Yep. And I will not associate with them.
  • I personally know thousands. Nearly everyone I know is racist to some degree. Some are overtly racist. I am sorry to say some in my very own family. Well, most in my very own family. :(
  • Yes my friend and her husband goes buck daft at her for it, she has made up a horrible song but if i shared it it would offend
  • Yes, and that person is God
  • I know no one who isn't racist. Some people are better at hiding it than others. Some people try not to be, but it is just natural human error. Who knows? Maybe someday racism will be gone... and the world will be filled with unicorns with hearts stuck to their behinds.
  • Yeah... I think there are a pleathora of racists everywhere, some of which I don't think is even acknowledged because of the group being discriminated against, or who is discriminating themselves.
  • Not any more. I got all those people out of my life a long time ago. If any of my current acquaintances are racist they haven't revealed it in my presence.
  • I believe we are all racist in some way, perhaps not in a way that will create race riots but little things we may do subconsciously. Avoiding black ghettos, assuming an asian person must have names like "chin" or "shang", believing that all white people dislike your own race. We all know racists, a good person will disassociate themselves from the openly racist aquintances.
  • Sadly yes. My sister in law, my mother in law and my father in law. Quite sad considering that I'm from a different culture. They didn't accept me at all at first but now they consider me as family however I'm still really aware that under the surface the racism is still there -they just hold back on it a little for me. My husband however doesnt' even have a racist bone in his body - quite surprising considering.
  • No should i though
  • Well yes of course i do. Half the world is wouldn't you say, how many black jokes are there? Its disturbing, would people please stop saying the N word. I don't think white people understand the depth of that word, peoples ancestors were whipped and beaten well being called that...
  • Yeah, a local priest. He considers everyone who is not catholic is bound to go to hell. I really don't like him for that.
  • I know an entire race where a good amount of its "people" are very racist, where so many of them unite through their hatred of "the evil white man!" I have several friends from this race who agree with me that it has become the norm within that group to openly hate and despise white people. And for me, these racists make up some of the scariest racists on the planet (but their racism is politically correct so it's OK).
  • Two actually. One is a great uncle who calls anyone who disagrees with him a "race traitor". The other blatant racist is a coworker who has some odd cult-like decals on his pickup truck and takes great joy in putting down hispanics.
  • Yes, specifically one man who lives under the same roof. My father!
  • I don't know him personally, but I would say Obamanation is racist!
  • Unfortunately yes. I know a few.
  • i hate everyone so that way i cant be racist FTP
  • Yes, I do. The last time we were visiting him, he said something alarmingly racist in front of my kids. I will never again bring my kids to his home and he is not welcome in mine. Bigotry is not something I want my kids to learn. They will be tought to judge someone by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.
  • Yes I have. It drove me nuts.
  • Yes, he spent alot of time in prison- not a good place to form opinions!
  • I know a lot of racist people. Most of them are related to me.
  • A couple of people on my wifes side claimed to be card carrying members of the KKK, but I've never seen their cards and those are two of my inlaws that I avoid at all cost. After all, punching an inlaw in the mouth when they utter such vile things, is never a good idea.
  • my older brother is, we don't speak much any more.
  • Yeah lots of people
  • Yes, but once I married his son and he realized I wasn't going anywhere he backed off.
  • Yes I do
  • yes I do.
  • yeah. They girl who made my primary school years hell. (I'm mixed race)
  • Very personally. He's my father.
  • Well, as everyone is saying, everyone's got that tiny corner of their brain that's racist, for whatever reason. But someone who's explicitly racist? Yes. I think that he believes he's just speaking the truth, but I'm baffled at how he raised me to consider who could be hurt by things I say and then he goes and blurts out some pretty special things.
  • Yes my father "one hundred and five percent racist" his words...the dick head.
  • My wife grew up in a neighborhood that was extremely racist against people of european descent.
  • yeah my dad.
  • No, I do not know personally anyone who is a racist. Sometimes I do hear some racist remarks but they are done in jest.
