No it doesn't scare me at all... Sometimes, what will make me un-easy, is if someone is incredibly religious and devout and says things like that in my presence. I don't really know what to say back to that! That is all though.
-
No, it's their life, not mine.
-
Not really. I don't care who they marry.
-
No, to each there own I say...
-
Scare implies fear, I don't fear fundies I loath fundies and consider them morons.
-
No. Should it? It makes me sad to hear a person limit themselves so.
-
Just sad to be 2009 and people still hide from boogiemen.

I'd need a few qualifiers first. If s/he says "I want to be a nonviolent tolerator of all beliefs because thats what Jesus did", then I wouldn't be worried (much). If s/he says "I'm making a whip of cords so I can beat up people who work in banks and casinos, I'm selling my coat so I can afford to go to the gun shop, and I'm going to destroy any tree which won't bear me fruit out of season", then I'd worry.

It shouldn't scare any body. I hate sports but people say their favorite sports team is their life and I don't get scared.
-
um the simple answer here is: YES.
-
Ummm... I'm a Christian and I am scared to hear this. God wants us to lead full lives to honor Him. That doesn't mean he needs to be our life. Other things are also good.
-
no not at all ... I just think " sucker "
-
"Scare" is the wrong word to use. More like "...make you make a mental note not to say anything involving the tolerance of other people's beliefs...".
-
does it scare a christian if someone say: Buddah is my life,?
-
Not anymore, I just feel sorry for them. I don't even bother trying to help them anymore unless they ask me for help. Even though christianity is still very powerful, the signs are showing that it is loosing power, that eventually it will be a lesson of the past, taught to our grandchildren. Jesus will be talked about rationally the way Zeus is today.

Oh yes, your embarrassing childish belief in fairy tales terrifies us. Golly. Gosh. O_o
