Booooorrring.
-
people would fist fight like the old days to see who's really tougher.
-
We would have to resort to physical potential, limiting the majority who carry the convenience of arms
-
Much Quieter......

Well, the government would still have guns, they would have to to take them away from anybody who wanted to keep theirs. So the world still wouldn't be gun free. And if your police have guns, and my police have guns, I don't trust you so I better have more guns and a lot more people with them. Lets call it an army. And if you have an army, too, my army better have bigger guns. And so on and so on. The good news is that the government will run much more smoothly. Dictatorships are like that. All the strongest governments have outlawed or restricted gun ownership for the private population. It worked for Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Castro.
-
I just know it would be better lol. We wouldn't have guns from the US helping fuel the drug war in mexico and we wouldn't have so many dead soldiers.
-
crazy
-
People would carry a knife, a spear, or a bow 'n arrow to hunt their own food. We'd walk or ride horses and live in mud huts. Internet and cell phones would be science fiction. Life would be more rugged, but simpler in some ways too. Family and clans would work together and be more dependent on one another.
-
Safer for the individual. But we are passed that point of a world with no guns, so safety is the next step. Yes, I do own a gun.
-
The world would not change one bit, in fact the only thing that would change is it would be more difficult to kill someone. We have already had a world without guns.
-
Great, we have that world here.
-
If you are referring to gun control laws which prohibit the private ownership of hand guns and rifles, then there would be a booming illegal market for such items among criminals along with a rising number of knife and baseball bat injuries used in crimes of profit and passion. This would be followed by numerous designs of compact linear accelerator weapons which would move a projectile without the benefit of gun powder. Paint ball guns with something more dangerous loaded. These weapons would result in additional laws to prohibit each new accelerator design and national laws to register baseball bats, golf clubs, and gardening tools etc.
-
I'd make me one.
-
alot of knife wounds
-
Then lots of people has to use swords, knifes etc. And we can see army is using spears against terrorists.
-
like this
-
Like guns never even existed? Drive by's would be done via slingshot and people would be asking how to get rid of that problem. (those things can actually kill you you know) :P
-
QUIET --- hear the silence and not a shot!.
-
No need to silence the silent
-
It would not bring peace. It would not bring safety. It couldn't stay that way. If they were to all vanish today, tomorrow someone would make another. If the concept of firearms were to be removed from our minds and records, they would be reinvented in a short time. The best we can do is to prosecute crime, work in society to reduce the causes of crime, grow our economy to reduce the needs for crime.
-
Many more people will be killed by arrows and be hit by moving vehicles. The number of deaths will remain the same.
-
Run by strong and quick men who are good with knives and swords, just like it use to be before the 16th century. (In other words: Ladies, your only protection are your skirts and other big strong and quick men who are good with knives and swords.)
-
Short-lived. Humanity has been trying to figure out ways to kill each other from day one. Bows were considered better than swords because you could kill people from a distance. Now, if all the guns went away and some magical hand-waving erased all knowledge of firearms from our memory, how long do you think it it would take to re-invent them? Now, if you took out all knowledge of explosives, internal combustion, pneumatics, springs, or any other possible way to propel an object then you would lose enough other technology that humanity would either be forced to reinvent those things (and thus eventually reinvent guns) or we would die, unable to hunt. Guns are inevitable.
-
Knife fight!
-
Other weapons would have been invented as weapons have been every since the beginning of time.
-
We would be overrun with gang members busting into anyone's home without fear because they'd know they couldn't be shot and the governments would have complete control. What was a more brutal time in history, the 1950's when lots of people owned guns or Middle Ages when no one had guns?
-
Fact from fiction, truth from diction. If all the guns were somehow nullified the world woulf still find ways to kill eachother. I guess battles in wars (after artillery amd explosives ran their course) would get way more intimate and bloody. They will find ways to update the broad sword, battle axes, mase, morning star and similar weapons.
-
I'd be out of a job.
-
Other weapons would be used. There was war and violence long before the gun was ever invented.
-
NO guns,no rights goes hand in hand, how about a law saying all american citizens will own and have on ther person a gun.I think some of these idiots that pull a gun in public places and hurt people would think twice.
-
Probably not much different. We've been going at it with swords and arrows for centuries, so guns or not, we'd still mess one another up.
-
Same old people - not much different. +5
-
About the same - humans were killing each other off - and advancing civilization - long before "guns" were ever invented. A gun is just a tool - but some tools you can live without and still make do...for example, if you don't have a hammer you can always pound in a nail with a rock can't you?
