  • Guinea pigs dont really like to be scratched cause they have sensitive skin. I have guinea pigs and they like to be petted down their back and behind their ears. When your petting them and they make a purring sound it means they like where your petting them.
  • I tickle rather than scratch. They do have sensitive skin. They like being rubbed under their chin.
  • Not all that much but they do love thier nose petted, their chin rubbed and their cheeks petted
  • I give mine either nice long strokes down his back, or little tickles just behind the ears or under the chin. The way he tilts his head back when I approach his cage to stroke him through the bars tells me that he probably likes having his chin stroked the best. My previous guinea pig would purr like a drill when tickled under the chin.
