Wow - this one was yet another eye-opener. Spicy Hot already contributed that original ad with "the Coppertone girl". Pretty risque stuff, don't you tbink? I headed out to Wikipedia just as a starting point, and sure enough, they have that ad image up too. However, the text said BEFORE the ad, the original Coppertone LOGO was the profile of an Indian Chief. Not politically correct, so the little girl and pup were created .. then yes, first ad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coppertone_Girl Who says the history of these things isn't culturally interesting!
