  • They both have terrible coffee. I prefer a local coffeeshop's coffee. If I had to choose one of the two, I'd choose Charbucks.
  • Well yeah its Seattle’s Best Coffee, obviously it’s the best. It says so in the name...
  • I was shocked at the great taste of McDonald's iced coffee. It is made by Green Mountain and that is one good brand. I like it better than Dunkin Donuts, or Starbucks coffee and its cheaper.
  • Here in Australia McDonalds coffee has improved vastly in recent years with the introduction of McCafes. At the end of the day, assuming the coffee's are of similar quality it is barister who makes the coffee great. I would hardly think McDonalds would have good quality barister's so i figure StarBucks would be better.
  • Oh yea! the coffee made by McDonald's McCafe is of better quality than the Starbucks brand.
  • forget mcdonalds and starbucks.the best tasting coffee in the u.s. offered to the public is 7 eleven.
  • Between the two, My vote goes to Mcdonalds coffee.
  • Between the two, My vote goes to Mcdonalds coffee.
  • I just did a recent study too and I can tell you Starbucks blows Mickey Dee's out of the water. You get one kind at the clown burger place (wow!!!) You get a kajillion options at Starbucks which IMO is quite a significant difference + it tastes good too.
  • i think they both taste like sh** but i love my tim hortons. you guys dont have it? HOW DO YOU GET THROUGH THE DAY!
  • No way. I hear that too and I totally disagree. i never liked MCD's coffee.
  • I had a Starbucks coffee the other day and I was shocked at how bad it was - it tasted no better than my instant at home. They need to get their act together. I cannot answer for McD - I never go there.
  • Out of those two choices, I would have to say McDonald's. But I prefer Dunkin Donuts coffee myself.
  • I still prefer Starbuck's. I tried the new "premium" coffee at McDonald's and still thought it tasted like dirty water.
  • They are serving 'Newman's Own' brand which isn't bad. Starbucks is far too expensive for a cup of coffee, so I would purchase McDonald's over Starbucks.
  • Um, who conducted and/or paid for that recent study?
  • they both taste bad...I prefer Gloria Jeans
  • At least when it comes to brewed coffee, McDonalds sells a lot and has to constantly make new batches. Starbucks 'secret' to a good cup of coffee is adding too much coffee to the water and letting it sit around all day because people are just ordering Machiattos and Lattes. If you aren't really lucky and catch them just after they've made it, not only is the coffee unnaturally strong, it is also burnt. If you're lucky enough to live near one, just go to Tim Hortons.
  • I stopped drinking coffee several years ago. Sorry, can't give an opinion on this one. I save a ton of money by drinking tea.
  • I don't know about taste, but in my neighborhood the SERVICE is certainly better. Starbucks has gotten so slow !
  • McDonalds coffee > Starbucks Buying coffee at Starbucks is a waste of money. I don't care how much you make, if you buy starbucks you are buying an image and enjoy wasting money.
  • McDonalds serves up coffee that comes from the least expensive beans available! If it tastes good they've done something truly amazing to get that reaction!
  • Of the two options given I choose McDonald's however, in my opinion Dunkin Donuts coffee is better than the both of them.
  • The Mcdonalds coffee is pretty good, but I prefer Starbucks mochas. I just do not like that the closest McDonalds to us does not offer a mocha. (hazelnut but no mocha?) I have been getting the Sonic Iced Mochas lately. Cheaper than Starbucks and not bad either.
  • I've been saying that for a couple of years! : )
  • ***Terrible Coffee handling*** A visit to a near McDonalds restaurant at wilshire/union at the home depot shopping center during morning time, the employees at McDonalds have about 10 empty coffee cups and about 10 cups (empty) for orange juice, all in front of a trash can, near the coffee area where workers serve the coffee, later the worker comes and pours the coffee to all the empty cups and the same with the orange juice (10) cups, and they wait until us the customers ask for coffee or orange juice and they give it to us from 3-4 minute standby accumulation, all of this near the trash and the cups opened, later covered. By the time we get the coffee/ or orange juice and take it to our tables, coffee is cold, and with drown fly's swimming and pieces of air small trashy feathers. That is not appropriate according to the county of Los Angeles health department, coffee should be served upon customers request right out of the coffee pot, as well with the orange juice. Please take a look when an employee of McDonalds picks up your coffee! Option#1: From the accumulative coffees/ orange juices that are stand by, with pieces of fly wings or other air small trash Option# 2 (THE BEST) Request to have your coffee served right out of the coffee pot/ or orange juice freshly served from machine. Please observe on your next McDonalds visit!
  • McDonalds is better by far - Starbucks is one of the nastiest coffees out there. If you're like me and prefer it black, that is... According to an independent blind taste test, Folgers is the best tasting coffee out there, followed by Millhouse, and several others. Starbucks? They're in the top 10 worst tasting coffees. So, why do people like Starbucks again? I never have - even before I read that article. Just wish I could find it again and post it here.
  • If it's just coffee you are talking about, not lattes or the like, then I don't care much for either. McDonalds coffee needs a ton of sugar and cream to be drinkable and Starbucks coffee isn't ordered much, so it sits around too long.
  • McDonalds conducted that study.
  • When I buy coffee out, it's Dunkin Donuts, a convenience store, or a local coffee shop. Never starbucks, never mcDonalds. Sorry.l
  • Starbucks is way better. The McCafe kinda has a bitter taste to it.
