Definitely get him a sandwich.
-
it would be nice to get him lunch, but if hes nasty and doesnt say thanks, then dont get him lunch anymore
-
A lot depends on HIS and your familiarity with each other. If he is a new person in your lives,no,he should leave the meals to you,and discretely leave the house when you are going to have a meal. If he is a friend or associate,,treat him as such. Proper manners for any contract work is,take your own lunch/dinner with you,you can't rely on others to feed you, offer drinks,,etc, that is only done out of kindness, and YOU(worker)ARE being payed for your efforts, not fed and burped by the customer.

I always offer food or drinks. I want a happy worker working on my home.
-
No, he is hired to do work for you, not sit around and eat lunch together.
-
I always offer to get them something, more often than not though they are already sorted. I do provide hourly cups of tea or cold drinks though!
-
It depends, is he giving you a good deal.... If he's charging you premium price for everything, let him buy his own lunch. He can afford it.
-
I keep the cups of tea flowing with biscuits and if he wants a sandwich i will make him one, they always seem to do a great job if i look after them:)
-
I just got done doing some work. I bought them pizza and cheesesteaks.
