The 4 US presidents carved on Mt Rushmore were selected in 1923. If selected today, would Washington, Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt & Lincoln still be the top 4 choices?

I'm not an expert on American History, but maybe Teddy although very popular, could be replaced with the other Roosevelt.

I would add FDR, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and have 5. I can't justify taking anyone off.

If they decided 7 years ago: W, Cheney, Rumsfeld, that fat drug addict on the radio. Today: Lincoln, FDR, Reagan (I just puked in my mouth), and JFK.

I think the 4 presidents on Rushmore are solid choices, 2 dems and 2 repubs. I think adding FDR would be a good thing, but I can't think of adequate repub to balance the parties...

I think the choice made in 1923 has stood the test of time. I wouldn't remove anyone, but do agree with other folks that FDR would be a worthy addition. Sad to say that the best presidents all served before 1923, or '45 to include FDR.

I never especially cared for Mr. Lincoln. Probably my least favorite. He was responsible for the deaths of 600,000 Americans and the death of our Constitution.
