All kinds of nice thick and yummy soup. My wife makes them in winter but not during the summer months. They simmer on the stove or in the crock pot almost all day. The whole house smells very yummy.

I've always thought of homemade chili as a cold weather dish. I can remember many a frozen, snow covered day when I was a kid, coming in from the cold to the smell and taste of Mom's homemade chili!

Baked ham with scalloped Potatoes. When the weather hits -25 or below, that's the meal I have waiting for my husband and son when they get home from work/school. It's a crowd pleaser with hot biscuits!
