not a chance. when you become a legal adult you are in charge of self discipline. however even if you marry as a child....your parents are your disciplinarians til you are of legal age. i pity the man who tried to discipline me....lol

No. Husband and wife are two individuals who should work as one unit. Rational discussion, problem solving and contrition (if necessary) are much more productive.

Discipline? Are we talking about wives or children? Discipline, no. Correct them on mistakes made, probably & most likely. I'd hate for my hsb to hear or see me make a mistake & not let me know about it. But, discipline me? Hell no! BUT! I was not a child when I married my hsb and do not need discipline!

No, that's highly disrespectful. If there's one thing a husband should do, it's respect his wife. If he's not happy with her to the point of wanting to discipline her, he should leave.

Husbands should spank their wives but only if they disobey and have been given a warning. If the wife then disobeys, then of couse the husband has the right to spank.

No, a husband and wife are equal. In olden days they weren't during war's and things but times have changed. Maybe with their words but not physically.
