  • In many cases yes....
  • I would like to think so but I am not sure how important is the role of genetics in a child's IQ level.
  • Genetics is prime in determining the mental capacity of a person. Learning, nutrition and life experiences influence and drive how much a person knows but the abilities for learning, etc. are genetics.
  • I believe so. I've personally seen many cases where the parents are smart and so are the kids, usually in the same subjects. I have a friend who works for NASA and so does his dad. I have another who is a journalist, and so his mom. Then I have friends who are idiots...and so are their parents :)
