  • There is a terrible injustice here in Colorado when it comes to restraining orders. The courts will issue one on behalf of the woman upon her request and then the man has a real tough time getting that initial order suspended or overturned. In a sense, the court issues the order simply on the basis of one side of the story and then feels that it must uphold itself in later court hearings. On the other hand when a man ask for a restraining order to be placed on a woman, my observation has been that one or two deputies must verify the mans story before the court will issue the restraining order. Now, try to get one lifted! If your a man, you must go to court and prove that you are not a felon, have not threatened anybody in the past two years, and so forth, where I personally have witnessed an attorney picking up the phone and calling the court to get the same restraining order lifted from his female client. Hey, more power to them, but when it comes to the courts in Colorado the man does not receive equal treatment. I understand that the "fairer sex" needs to be protected from a the usually agressive male, but it has gone far enough to be unfair.
  • The current child support laws are broken! They need to be re-evaluated and fixed! Women get preferential treatment and don't have to be accountable for money they do receive. They can even be remarried with a spouse supporting them and their children and STILL burn the ex. A woman should be held MORE accountable for her children, as only she determines if she becomes a mother in the first place! Stop punishing men as much as they do for something women did to themselves! (by the way, I AM a woman, WITH children, and receiving no support from ex-his choice, not mine-but I choose to have/raise my children, and I don't need him to do so!)
