Some are, no worries, no jobs, no taxes...
-
if they are not being abused i would say yes.
-
Never been one, so can't tell you. (Animal, that is).
-
Depends on their conditions. An animal on a laboratory table, slaughter house or on a chain in the cold probably isn't. Apart from that just compare them with kids. No worries about the future and living in the moment. So overall yes, they can be happier, because their life is not as complex and they lack the awareness in many regards (just like kids and even “some” healthy adults…lol).

Ignorance is bliss!!!
-
i dunno, lets ask them.... probably.
-
I don't think that we can define their equilivent to our emotions with the same definitions? Happy, sad, angry, sorry... I think are all more instinctual and reactory to them. Especially in the animals with smaller brains.
-
Yes, but only if they are not bullied by humans. But if they are bullied then according to what I've seen, they are in the absolute depth of hell as this question is being answered.
-
I really don't know.
-
I have an vague interpretation, because our existing seperation from other species, allows the convenience of defining our own race.
-
Maybe, some are more free than human beings, and some even live longer. Most have no use for the luxuries that many people feel they need to enjoy life. People feel they are most superior, but look at our effect on the Earth around us. Are we even really that happy?
-
I really think that animals have feelings and therefore, they can feel happy and sad. Maybe their feelings are not as complex as ours, but they do feel without a doubt. If you have ever had pets you can tell that animals feel just like we do, but is happiness really quantifiable? Can anyone say how happy someone is? Not really. It is an individual answer. Is certain animal happier than that particular human being? That's more like it depending on the circumstances. Even philosophically, I don't think this question has an answer that we can know.
-
Yes - just by the very fact that they don't worry about how happy they or humans are, they just live in the moment.
-
Well they certainly have alot less to worry about.
-
yes, they know not many, many things.
-
Without the incredible hassle of alla "right and wrong" decisions comin' at ya' aalll day long, every day? Whaddayou think?! - ;-)
-
I think that animals are more basic & uncomplicated then humans. We make things too hard. Animals are very smart but they also go on instinct instead of over analyzing everything to death.
-
Yes. But animals are abused quite a bit. It all depeds on who or how they animals are cared for.
-
Yes, If you give them their drinking water and a ball to play with!
