I would not get mad per se, but disappointed. Then again, you want to offend, don't you?
-
I guarantee it. But, what could they do about it? Not shop there anymore? Psh...
-
Who cares; its YOUR library. Put the thing where it belongs (although I have to say that "World Religions" probably does deserve its own category, even if it IS all fictitious.)
-
i wouldn't get mad, but a hell of alot of people would!
-
Right next to "Origin of Species"? Perhaps
-
not as mad as if you got rid of it but an interesting question for sure
-
Oh you will definately piss off some folks, but, hey it's your library, if they don't like it they don't have to go :)
-
you can arrange your OWN library anyway you want but in a real library the Bible, the Koran, the Book of Mormon, or the Tao te Ching and any other holy scripts are filed under non-fiction. for a reason. ha ha
-
sure. every librarian would be mad, because there is an order to things. Use the old dewey decimal system if you want to, but religious texts do not get filed in general fiction.
-
i would say file it under fantasy, right between Alice's Adventure in Wonderland and Beowulf. On the shelf with authors such as Tolkein, Lewis, and Homer. Hell, give it a dewey decimal place if ya want. but put the Book of Judas somewhere near bye.
-
.
-
Some would attempt to get even, which in itself would be mad.
-
i wouldn't, it belongs there.
-
Probably. But then, just about anywhere you decide to place it, someone would find a reason to argue your decision. I mean that's what The Bible is all about amirite?
-
Yes, but I'd feel it fits in there just right.
-
i wouldnt be mad but i woulld think it was disrespectful technically no one REALLY knows its impossible to disprove god because its impossible to disprove ANY GOD i mean technically its impossible to disprove the existence of invisible elves either but thats why theres a religion section where you put ALL the different 'bibles' of different religions
-
If they did, kick them out, you own the library .
-
If it was my library..I would have a bible in every section...there is a lot in there....and even if you did think it was fiction...the stories are very interesting and can relate to todays life dramas...some of it is like Jerry Springer or day time soap operas.
-
In alot of libraries the Bible is placed in the Reference Section, Religious Texts (yes some libraries have a section), Theology or even under General Non-Fiction. General Non-Fiction is where I'd place it in my library. Why? Because I don't want to fight anyone over whether or not its fiction.
-
Now that's a silly question. They'd burn that place to the ground. But hey, for what it's worth, I'd get a chuckle out of it.
-
Yes, lots of people would get mad. Then again, lots of people are idiots.
