God finished writing before the Catholic Church was incorporated. All he said was not to be unequally yoked. If you cannot reconcile your respective beliefs, it will cause problems sooner or later.

A catholic can but I'm not sure about being married in the catholic church. Don't know if God said anything about this, it's just one of those things the Catholic church have decided. That and no abortions even if you get raped or divorce only if you are being abused

I am a Hindu and I have studied both Christianity and Buddhism. From the limited knowledge I have I would say there is nothing wrong at all in a Catholic - Buddhist marriage. Buddhism gives enough leeway for any follower to be a believer or a non-believer. It is not essential for a Buddhist to believe in God to be a Buddhist. As long as a person follows the 5 principles of life the Buddha prescribed is followed the person remains a Buddhist. The 5 principles are totally compatible with any religion or sect in the world. So the Buddhst can always convert to Catholic Christianity while continuing to be a Buddhist. The Catholic Church should have no objection to a person converting to its folds and marrying one of theirs. Then why look for God's opinion?
