  • you don't give us the age of the tv but it sounds like the projection bulb has gone bad. Good Luck
  • If it is a DLP there is something called a light engine that when it begins to fail will show and maintain distortion in the picture. There are several circuits in the power supply that will not full-power-up when is senses an excessive load. Sometimes its the power supply itself. Puffed capacitors that leak and loose their functional value of capacity. Sure it's fixable?
