I bring my own book.
-
I prefer to take my own book(s) and/or magazine(s) with me.
-
Look at a boring magazine they always have in doctors offices while I curse under my breath, that I even have to wait when I have an appointment.
-
whenever I am expecting to wait I always have my ipod and my sketchbook and pencil with me. If it permits I usually have my laptop in the car and can bring that in with me too.
-
I try to remember to bring my own book, but if I don't I just read a magazine or text...
-
I usually read their boring magazines or the newspaper. Then 2 hours later when I finally get called back to a room, I read a few more of their boring magazines while waiting another hour for the doctor.
-
I usually take something read read and something to take notes on, but if I forget, I'll read anything handy including charts on the walls and promotional brochures.
-
When I am away from the office, I have my calls forwarded to my cell. If I'm not on the phone or working, I usually either study for work, or play solitaire on my phone.
-
I think. I'm a very good, deep thinker and actually enjoy it. Sometimes I'll just listen to the radio, or (if it's on) watch the TV.
-
I always bring my own book. In fact, I hardly ever leave the house without a book with me, just in case!
-
First choice, my needlework; second choice, the magazines in the office; third choice, nap
-
I almost always bring a book, unless I know they have good magazines there.
-
I just sit and wait...maybe flip through a couple of magazines or talk to the receptionist.....
-
On the rare occasions i go .. i listen to music on mp3 :)
-
i read all those god-awful "parenting" magazines.... i honestly think that's the worst part of the doctor!
-
I usually set my appointments up at the beginning of the day so I am normally the first one in. This usually makes my wait very short. They have a Television in the waiting room so I normally watch it.
-
I bring a book I'm currently reading. Most of their magazines are old. The previous patients must have taken the new ones, or the Dr. only puts them out after everyone in his family has read them. The later is most plausible.
-
I bring my laptop, and try to get some work done. (I'm SUCH a geek...) :-)
-
I’ll read there magazines if they don’t have any good ones I will just sit and think about my life and why their wallpaper sucks and ponder what the person next to me is in for.
-
I totally read Highlights.
-
I never like the look of the magazines there. Too germy for me - you don't know what the last person to read them might have been there for!! I tend to stare into space. Maybe go to a happy place in my head (I have several).
-
I talk to the other people in the waiting room. Isn't that what people do when they converge in one place?
-
i wouldn't say I read the... more listlessly flick through them. They're never about anything I care about and I'm not really relaxed enough for a good read
-
watch tv,look around listen to peoples conversation, think, figuring out things, think and think.
-
read all the posters.I guess its a family thing because when a nurse told my brother the doctor was ready he said 'In a minute im on the 2nd last one!'
-
read a magazine from the waiting room, or a book that I brought from home.
-
read or knit
-
I read the Highlights magazines. Doctors offices are the only place I have ever seen them.
