Do you get too scared to ask for tap water in a restaurant?

What's scary about it? I drink water in restaurants all the time. Never had a problem, and it's a heck of a lot cheaper than that $1.75 glass of tea/pop that only cost them $0.10 to make.

I don't have a problem with it. I prefer water over spending $2.50 for a soda or tea (that's made with the same water).

No. I used to, but I decided that if I want it, I am going to ask for it.

I have no problem asking for water. I dont say tap water, I say regular water! Tap water just sounds like im about to drink a glass of chlorine! But overall im ok with it!

What's to be scared of? Just rap on the table with your walking stick and say: "My good man, we require water at our table!"
