Post pardum depression can start when you are still pregnant and can happen after the baby is born. Talk to your dr. If you are worried about it then you are ahead of the game. It is better to do something about it than to let it overwhelm you.

after baby blues which starts 3 to 4 days after you give birth. The baby blues may last several days. After that you may experience postpartum depression which LAST UP FOR A YEAR. Depending on each person, some may not take long to heal up from postpartum depression. For postpartum depression, the signs are * Feeling sad or down often * Frequent crying or tearfulness * Feeling restless, irritable or anxious * Loss of interest or pleasure in life * Loss of appetite * Less energy and motivation to do things * Difficulty sleeping, including trouble falling asleep, trouble staying asleep or sleeping more than usual * Feeling worthless, hopeless or guilty * Unexplained weight loss or gain * Feeling like life isn't worth living * Showing little interest in your baby So in that case i do believe you do have postpartum depression. Women who have more severe symptoms of depression or who have had depression in the past may take longer to get well. So even its been longer than a year, you are most likely still healing from postpartum depression.

I would suggest you see your MD about this. Some mild Rx could help you conquer this. Sometimes the body/mind needs a little help.
