Was anyone else as confused by the movie Van Helsing as I am?

I didnt see van helsing as a confusing movie... it does have friction with other movies or books but it shouldnt be 2 difficult. im going to guess that the part 2 confuse you was van helsing having previously killed dracula the dvd explains how bram stoker's dracula had an old man named van helsing in it that protected his family from dracula if you watch the bonus features, it explains it pretty well

anna died from being cruched under van helsing when he was a werewolf she got in the way to give him a shot and change him back the first castle was dr. Frankenstein's castle not dracula's

I was confused as to why they bothered making such a truly awful film.

I didn't have a problem understanding it and I thought it was a really good movie. I've noticed a lot of people didn't like it though. I listed it on AB as my favorite vampire movie.
