Paul Newman has died. I think he genuinely was just a really nice guy, unlike so many other stars. He seemed to care. What do you think?

I'm not gender specific here, just an example of how many will really be missed.

There are some on your list ... I would not consider the calibre by artistic talent or generosity of others ... But thankyou eitherway ... Cheers

Oh, of course. When compared to Newman, some of these are polar opposites. These are some of the older generation actors I could think of that I just can't picture the movie industry without as a whole. Just think, in a couple of years you probably won't have any movies that include these actors, and the younger generations probably won't go to the trouble to look up and watch some of the classics that these guys represent.

I can't tell you how many times I've had to inform someone that the part in the movie they like so much and thought was such a great idea, is just a remake starring another actor. Some kid was telling me they should've had Chris Rock get killed some other way in The Longest Yard (turning on the lightbulb). He just couldn't understand the importance of Caretaker's character.

Again though, some actors stand out above the rest for their selfless generosity and commitment towards helping others.
