I must leave a link as there is someone who does not like to see questions regarding biology and absolutely down rates them even if those are medical sites. Here are two links that are quite good. http://www.biology-online.org/biology-forum/about2318.html http://linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/S0091674904015143 Regards my friend.

Yes., I am living proof. i remember on Easter i had an easter basket filled with chocolate, i remember eating the whole basket of chocolate in one sitting (2hours), that night i broke out in hives and these were welts, from head to toe, i had to had a wash rag dipped in ice water and applied for 20 minutes and then have the areas pat dry and put Calamine Lotion on.

I doubt it... Everything you eat gets converted to sugar.....so....dunno how you work out living if you are allergic =/

My body is highly sensitive to sugar and I mostly avoid it. It seems to not bother me when it comes from fruit and such, mostly it's refined sugars that make me feel icky. Also substitutes like Splenda do unpleasant things to my body as well. The only two sweeteners that seem to work for me are Stevia and Xylitol.
