It it's not blowing hot air, then the radiator is empty. Fans won't come on if there isn't any water by the fan sensor to tell the fans it's time to come on. Also, the thermostat could be faulty, which would keep the hot water in the engine from getting to the radiator to be cooled. Check the radiator level when the engine is cold, make sure it is full and the overflow bottle is at proper level as well. Check the oil. If it's grey there is coolant in the oil. This is a really bad thing. Something major has gone wrong. Last of all, with the coolant full, start the engine, let it warm up for 5 to 10 minutes, that should be long enough for the system to pressurize and see if there are any leaks. Check the belts on the engine, make sure there are none missing. A missing belt on a water pump will throw off EVERYTHING, and could do a lot of damage.
