  • No amount of money can replace the positive feeling of doing work that you love. So for me, I gotta love my job.
  • I can only answer for me personally. I would rather have my job, which I enjoy but don't make heaps from, than have loads of money from a job that made me paranoid and a nervous wreck. I work to live, I don't live to work.
  • I would have to say it's better to love your job and be poor than hate it and be stinking rich. I've suffered through too many awful jobs to know that no amount of monetary compensation could have made those situations better. However, if I'd had health insurance, it would have lessened the subsequent therapy bills!
  • According to my admittedly rough calculations, a ton of money is $91 million dollars (in hundreds), and one eleventh of a semi-load. You didn't specify a time period; but even if that was lifetime earnings, if you could control your spending and invest most of what you earned, you wouldn't have to do it very long to retire & spend the rest of your life doing something you enjoyed. I'm gathering contributions to make a more exact estimate; when you have a nice sized box full let me know and I'll tell you where to send it.
  • Well "they" (and by they I mean SHRM) did a study that showed that generally a woman will place greater value on the quality of the job (nice work environment/people, doing something they enjoy etc.) whereas a man would place greater value on the money. Its just a study, but I've sort of found that to be true, at least for me.
  • It's much more imporant to love your work.
  • I'd rather enjoy my job so long as I made enough money to live fairly comfortable.
  • Out of these two I think it's better to hate it, collect money, quit and invest into something else. Sometimes we have to consider sacrifice.
  • job that you love, money is not everything
  • That is a very hard question. My grandson has a job right now that he absolutely loves. He likes the people he works with and it is close to home. The problem is he only works part-time for minimum wage. It does not pay for any health insurance or benefits. He feels bad seeing other people get paid holidays and vacations, and he doesn't. There are no good paying, full time with benefits jobs for people who haven't gone to college.
  • That depends on how much you love money.
  • A job that you love... Obviously things don't always work out the way that one wants. And a lot can depend upon the circumstances you may be facing for the reason you are in a job that you dislike. I believe many people are already in this situation but if it pays the bills, what else can you do? One has to survive! Luckily i enjoy my work:)
