I'm new to the Contraceptive Pill, so i've been reading online. I'm a smoker, and I'm due to fly to America in a few weeks. I've heard these are the causes of DVT/blood clots. Does anyone know more about this? What is the risk factor? I'm worried.

Hmm, how did you go, yes smoking on the contraceptive pill can increase the coagubility of your blood, its a good idea to cease the ciggies for 2 weeks prior to flying and during your holiday and fly back, if you must smoke pick it up again when u get home, if you must smoke on your trip do it inbetween flights with a good week prior to each flight, also make sure you move around plety on the plane frequently and drink plenty of water.
