  • All I know is that Granville Woods and George Westinghouse invented a lot for railroad use. Westinghouse created the air brake, and Woods invented a whole lot of things involving electricity.
  • Oh, I just did some quick wikipedia searching, and I'm ashamed of myself for not thinking of Cornelius Vanderbilt. He owned railroads, particularly around New York. He really is the name to know in the railroad business in that time. Sorry about that.
