  • risks are infection, gum erosion, tooth damage, ect. if you keep it clean and switch for a snug fitting piece of jewelry about a week after the piercing its minimized. as for how bad it hurts it depends on your pain tolerance and how nervous you are before you get it. if you hype yourself up before hand it will hurt alot less than you think. make sure to eat a big meal before going to get it pierced tho becasue the next few days its gunna hurt to chew.
  • For me I would tell people to think long and hard before they do it. If my friends would have told me that i would still have really bad pain on the fifth day and the swelling is the same as day two I wouldn't have spend the money on the piercing.I can't sleep at night, when i wake up the pain is so bad to where i want to cut it out. But it's up to you. Just make sure you are ready for the pain that will come.
  • This is a question posted by another answerbagger. "Is it normal to have severe pain throughout my tongue on day five? Is it normal to have the swelling the same as day two? I don't want the piercing anymore but it hurts to even move the piercing. What can i do besides putting ice in my mouth." Obviously this person is in a lot of discomfort.
  • Yes there are risks but so what....Yes it hurts to get it pierced I mean you are stabbing your tongue. It swells alot, you can't talk well, it will be sore. If you want it done get it done but you can't play this game of does it hurt shit. Because not one time in my life that I have gotten a tattoo or a piercing and jumped up and down for joy that it felt so damn good. So go for it and don't be a pussy!
