Yes. I think it's different than say ... looking at our vintage family photo albums or even at vintage films .. when every man wore a hat every time they went out of the house. You know the kind I mean ... the kind often worn with a suit .... or even just a pair of trousers and a shirt. There was that hat. 1940s and 1950s. Women were wearing hats too. As we've worked our way through the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s .. certainly hats have still been sold .. and worn. But I think there's been a change towards either those needed for WORK or for INFORMAL wear vs wearing mostly for formal occasions. Remember when women all ran out to wear the style of that pill box style Jackie Kennedy was wearing? So I think we'll still wear our cowboy hats, our baseball caps, ski caps, our straw hats, and even our fancy hats .. but men's formal hats seem to have gone away and women seem to be a mix now of formal and informal vs mostly formal. Who knows? Maybe I'm out in left field since I see everyone else seems to be saying a simple "yes"! My answer is "yes, but different kinds ..". Better call this "opinion" and certainly not fact-based research. Don't have a clue what the real world answer is. Wonder what the manufacturer's numbers would tell us? :)
