Also called a canker sore, they can be caused by eating the wrong foods, injuries like biting yourself. Or from a dentist visit. Mine are also brought on by too much citric acid, if I eat a lot of tomatoes from the garden I end up with an outbreak.

There are lots of reasons for this. Have they been diagnosed by a physician, or are you assuming that they are ulcers? Do you chew the inside of your mouth, or clench your teeth when sleeping? Do you have high blood sugar? Do you have herpes? What are your health issues (other than dental)? A friend of mine had this happen to him all the time and no dentist was able to help him. Finally, he went to someone who prescribed an antiseptic mouthwash of some kind and he never got them again. He did not say why he was getting them in the first place.

Every once in a while, I had them all the time when I wore my braces. They were more annoying than the actual metal in there sometimes and I had a mouth full of braces too. Didnt mind the braces too much but i def dont miss the constant sores and cuts.
