I'm doing a work on the history of the telephone. I've searched on the net for the inventor of the telephone but the information is so varying. Many people are said to be the inventors. Who is the "real" inventor? Some info about him/her would be nice.

• I've searched some more and I noticed most people say so because he was the first guy who patented his telephone (some say his work was plagiarism). And who said I thought Bell was the first inventor. I knew nothing about it before I started this work.

• ah k, yeah looking closer it does make it confusing, I dont think you could go wrong choosing either, but may depend on who you tell it to.
