i thot it was alexander graham bell too!
Antonio Meucci was the original inventor, which is funny because I can remember being told Alexander Graham Bell when I was at school.
Update: just read the Wiki link and that said it could basically be any one of Antonio Meucci, Johann Philipp Reis, Alexander Graham Bell and Elisha Gray.

really it seems to be Antonio Santi Giuseppe Meucci or Graham Bell. Some people will say one, some will say the other.

Wikipedia is very useful :D
Alexanda Graham Bell invented it. I don't know anything about him though.

You're reading I'm doing a work on the history of the telephone. I've searched on the net for the inventor of the telephone but the information is so varying. Many people are said to be the inventors. Who is the "real" inventor? Some info about him/her would be nice.
Comments
I've searched some more and I noticed most people say so because he was the first guy who patented his telephone (some say his work was plagiarism). And who said I thought Bell was the first inventor. I knew nothing about it before I started this work.
