Talking about computers. Or musical abilities. both my parents were born 1950... My dad plays rhythm guitar. When I ask him to do a different strum than his usual country/folk rhythm... he usually get's pretty lost real quick. and absolutely anything about computers... they just don't understand.

i like to confuse them with technology and anything with electronics.my dad can figure out how to do algabreyic eqations in his head and figure out stuff with oil compressers faster than some computers but he cant figure out how to email me from his computer while im emailing him from my Wii.

Being a kid , i feel that he's not making you feel stupid. He's just teaching something you probably didn't know . I mean , it's not like he's trying to shake all the knowlege you have outa your brain or something. You should appreciate it instead of thinking that he thinks you're stupid. Cos if you think the way you're thinking now, i'd advice you to tell him you understand it now , so that he wouldn't have to waste his saliva explaining it to you.

I understand completely. They always delight in knowing something Mom or Dad doesn't know. It's just another cute part of letting go, isn't it? I barely know anything about computers or setting the new fancy cable they got me. They get great pleasure in showing "dumb" Mom how to do it. I love it.
