Well it is usually the team with the best pitching. Of the teams that are going to be in the playoffs, the Dodgers and Rays have the best pitching in the NL and AL respectively. I think the Rays may win it all.

An American baseball team will win the WORLD Series. I've been told it's named after a newspaper or magazine but World Series still seems a strange name for an event unique to a single country.

I'm thinking it's going to be the Rays. Mostly because I'm a "root for the underdog" type. I'm a Cubs fan. ^_^

With their impressive lineup, solid rotation, and deep bench, you'd have to think the Yankees are one of the frontrunners. I am concerned about who's going to pitch teh eighth inning to get to Mariano, however.
