Only very vaguely.

OK - I'll admit it, I'm old. They were a real pain if you stepped on one when you were barefoot.

Hey I just recently got rid of my pull tab chains that used to hang all the way around my room with my black lite posters and lava lamp.:)
-
Cool. I do. I cut my foot on them. Made necklaces from them , and window chimes! LOL

Me. Strangely, a few times when I went camping or hiking in PA, I came across a few old campsites, and I'd find perfect little piles of old '70's beer cans from previous campers. Many were in near-perfect condition, only a little rust along the top and bottom edges and the seam (remember the seam?). I would wax nostalgic thinking of my Grandad standing in the entance to his living room, watchin' the news, or "Wide World of Sports" with a can of Bud or Narragansett beer in his hand. Mem-ories.......

Twas before my time
-
Er .. the only type of canned beverage I have EVER seen have pull tabs.
-
Sure do!!!!
-
Don't they have pull tabs now? You mean the ones that you pull off completely? Well, no....not me. I've never even seen one of those.
-
They still make them just like you can still buy soda in glass bottles and soda made with cane instead of corn syrup. You can no longer buy soda with coke but you can make your own.
-
I remember them but I don't think I've opened a canned beverage since those days. ???
-
I do!
-
many countries still do
-
I do!
-
I remember them well, and they were steel cans, not aluminum. Also, I remember the glass bottles that you paid deposit on, and helping my mom carry all the bottles back to the store to return and get the deposit back.
-
I remember that well. I also remember being in the ER and the guy in front of me had chugged a pull tab with his drink.
-
They made the switch when I was in the 5th grade. On a class picnic, some dope of a kid didn't know how to use the simplest device in the world. He asked the teacher for help, and she assigned aid from another student. Kid should have failed for that alone.
-
correct me if Im wrong. Didnt Tab have a pull tab?
-
Yup, I remember them too. Back then I had an old pickup truck that had a bottle opener mounted on the dash. We used to call it the "church key".
-
We still do in Canada. What do you have where you live?
-
I remember them here in the US but that was when I was a kid. They still have them in other countries.
-
I do! I even remember when the canned beverages had no pull tabs at all....you had to use a can opener.
-
OMG I do! I remember beers having pull tabs, and Cokes. We used to collect the tabs! I have no idea why...
-
In the United States they still do.
-
i do
-
Yes I remember those, and making long chains with them, or turning them into purses or dresses and even a door curtains with them LOL!!!!
-
Who remembers when you had to use a "church key" can opener before they had pull tabs?
