If you want a child badly enough, it's okay to try. Just be careful of your health and when it happens, listen to your doctor and go to all of your visits. You would need to be more closely monitored, but yes I would do it.

If you are ready to dedicate the next 18 years emotionally, physically and financially to another human being without the aid of a partner, then go ahead. Don't do it, however, if you are going to delegate parental responsibilities to paid professionals. They aren't paid to love your child. Children deserve love and attention from their parents and as a single mother, you will be responsible for providing the love and attention of 2 parents. I stopped having children after 30 and was glad I did. I can't imagine doing this into the 50s. They take too much energy. Remember, you will have to be an intensive parent into your 60s if you decide to get pregnant. I don't think I would have the energy for that, but perhaps you will.

If you really want a baby do it, if you just feel that you are missing out on something... maybe not a good idea? Think about your reasons because whatever they are, in the end, they should be more for the child than for yourself.
