  • That doesn't sound unlucky at all to me. You didn't fall did you? I've never been around an open elevator shaft to drop a phone down it. If you were that close to an open elevator shaft and you didn't go down it, I'd say you were blessed.
  • I was walking my dog and listening to my iPod. I guess my dog saw a squirrel or something because she suddenly took off. The tug on the leash startled me and I dropped my iPod right into a sewer grate. I could see it lying on a little shelf-like thing and tried to retrieve it with gum and a stick, but to no avail.
  • once on halloween i went out with my deceased cousin and his friends to pull a trick on anthoer of his freinds. so were all dressed up, my cousin was jason from friday the 13, i was freddy kurger and his other friend was texas chainsaw. we scared that crap out of my cousins friend so bad he wet him self! hahahaha
  • Ok, if you had told me that you dropped your phone in an elevator shaft and it fell two stories and didn't break that would have been unbelievable and lucky but what happened seems to be natural and consistent with the fall. What am I missing here?
  • I found this rather amusing even though it (obviously) didn't happen to me: http://www.wnbc.com/news/17625907/detail.html?rss=ny&psp=nationalnews LAS VEGAS -- In Las Vegas, where luck means everything, O.J. Simpson came out the big loser, and his unlucky number was 13. The former football star was convicted in an armed robbery and kidnapping that happened on Sept. 13, 2007. And the Las Vegas verdict late Friday night came in on the 13th anniversary of Simpson's Los Angeles murder acquittal. The jury deliberated for 13 hours Friday after a 13-day trial. When the verdict was announced, Simpson's sister fainted. Friends wailed and wept. If that wasn't enough, the courtroom lights, on a timer, went out. Simpson and co-defendant C.J. Stewart will be held at the Clark County Jail until at least Dec. 5, when they are scheduled to be sentenced. They could spend the rest of their lives in prison. The one-time football hero has been convicted on a dozen charges related to the armed robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel room last year. Simpson and his lawyers argued the incident was not a robbery, but an attempt to reclaim mementos that had been stolen from him. He'll be sentenced on Dec. 5. He was taken into custody shortly after the charges were read against him. As spectators left the courtroom, Simpson's sister collapsed and paramedics were called. The verdict came 13 years to the day after Simpson was cleared of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman. Simpson's attorney vows appeal and says his client's "only hope is the appellate process."
