    Where have you downloaded them to? If they aren't in the Fonts folder no programs will be "aware" of them. Go to Control Panel... Fonts (You might have to click on 'Switch to Classic View' on the left hand side, first. Go to the File... Install New Fonts menu, navigate to the folder containing the new fonts and click on the Select All and then OK buttons. That is for Windows XP, other OSes may be a little different.
