I'd think I'll take a long weekend trip this spring (somewhere in the US, what's a good place to visit for food, drinks, souvieners, etc.? Why?

Reno or Vegas, because the drinks are free, lots of souvieners, and they have the best food buffets! I love the seafood ones.

Come to Wisconsin...Wisconsin Dells...i know it is winter but Treasure Island and Kalahari Hotel indoor waterparks are awesome!

Myrtle Beach it has tons of suvi shops and its always nice to lay on the beach NYC, totally fun, you can go to a broadway show, go clubbing, take a tour of NBC Studios and good shopping. Las Vegas-gamble, go clubbing, always a fun place to go for the weekend. Chicago- never been, but heard its always a blast to go to.

an awesome place to visit is vegas for a couple of reasons.....you can get junkets there for a reasonable price from canada or usa, the weather is nearly bulletproof and the food is reaonsably priced and very good. also tons of entertainment.........just overall a good spot whether you gamble or not.......eagle5

For us middle class family types, Wall Drug of South Dakota was a great stop on the way from nowhere to elsewhere.
