  • Just give it a really good clean while in the bath or shower, but it sounds to me like it might be something else (thrush?) you can get creams for that over the counter without having to go to your doctor and be examined, talk to a pharmacist, they have heard it all before!
  • I would definitely recomend that you visit the doctor if possible. There are many different conditions that can cause a foul smell and if you take the wrong over the counter medicine you may make things worse. For instance, I was positive that I had a yeast infection. I tried over the counter stuff but it didn't help. I went to the urgent care clinic and the Doc gave me a script. Still no relief I finnally went to a gynocologist and it turned out I was allergic to the pads I was using. I was in pain for several days for no reason just b/c I didn't want to go to the gyno.
  • You should always wash/wipe from front to back (from belly button to butthole direction) With a wash cloth take it straight down the center of your vagina. Fold the used part over and on a new area wash down one side of an inside fold. Fold that used part over and wash down the other side of the inside fold. Fold used part of cloth over and wash down outside of lips. Never use same area of the cloth twice. Once you clean one area, it is soiled and a clean area should be used on each part. Never wipe from back to front (rectum area to vagina area) as this can cause infection.
  • if its not a medical issue like an infection or disease you might wanna just watch you diet. you are what you eat! i read somewhere that if you eat strong acidic foods such as things that have a lot of garlic or vinegar and things with potent smells like that can affect the fluids in your vagina. fruits are better. but if you don't eat those kinds of things then you might wanna go to the gyno
  • You may want to try using Summer Eve products or Always wipes! For me i use Wipes everytime i want to feel fresh or if its a very hot day. Also if you have a strong vagina scent you might want to use them everytime you go to the bathroom especially if you're on you're period. I also use deodorant on the creases of my vagina and puts Baby Powder down there which keeps you're Vagina dry and it wont develop odors! I know its alot but after awhile it will become a natural scent and you and your husband will enjoy the smell! Keep It Fresh!!!
  • Use a non-soap vaginal wash. I recommend Summer's Eve feminine wash. DO NOT USE SOAP!!! Soaps only irritates the vagina and can cause drying. Clean the inner folds of your vagina with the feminine wash and dry with clean towel. Wear panties that are white and cotton, this allows the vagina to breathe and if possible avoid wearing tight clothing. Go to see your gynecologist if condition persists.
  • if after you went to the doctor and you used the Summer Eve products and that still does not work try removing the hair. just like the hair on you head it holds odor.
  • douche with 1 tbsp of tea tree oil to 2 cups of water 3 times a week. this natural rememdy works wonders. also, add REPHRESH to your regular routine. check out www.rephresh.com.
  • Im wondering as well because i have a odor, the Dr sent me a letter saying I had a yeast infection coming on. He only recommended I use a cream either prescribed by him or over the counter. I have noticed myself drinking alot of soft drinks and my urine is dark and not clear so Im thinking too much soft drinks as well. I heard that you should not douch alot but I think I will get one thats medicated or baking soda and clean very good, also use whipes. Im also going to get a over the counter Cranberry pill called AZO, it works well for bladder infections. Maybe you could try some of these things as well. Good Luck
  • Soap and water. Avoid douching if at all possible, that can make the situation worse in the long run. If left to its own devices (as long as there is no infection), the vagina naturally cleans itself.
