GOOD QUESTION! But then there have always been people who thought that god told THEM the truth/ what to do/ the answers. God's children. Sarah Palin thinks that her son has been sent off to fight god's war, for instance. So...apparently the U.S. are the children of God.

Just because people "declare" war in God's name doesn't make it from Him. If I "declare" homosexuality in your name does that make you gay? Or does it mean that you agree with homosexuality? No. It's people screwing things up. Not God.
