Is it true that Sarah Palin only has a Bachelors Degree? If so, is it important that she have a more advanced degree to help run the country?

Oh please, give this "everyone needs a college degree" thing a rest! I'm competing for basic entry-level positions with PhDs. I'm being told that Masters degrees are required for community theater stagehand jobs. Paper tigers look great on paper but their actual skills aren't tested solely by college professors! Palin has so much more wrong with her that bringing up the idea that she doesn't have a graduate degree takes time away from the REAL Palin problems!

Requirements are that they must be a natural born citizen of the United States, that they be no less than thirty five years old, and that they have been a resident of the United States for at least fourteen years. Nothing in there about high school, let alone college.

Sarah Palin does indeed hold a degree - a Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism, to be exact. And no, it isn't important - everyone bitches endlessly (Seriously, shut up. We know, It has been eight years. We get it.) About Bush, and he holds a Master's degree from Harvard.

No, I do not think it is important to have a more advanced degree to run the country; however, it is important to have a more sophisticated knowledge level of world, economic and government issues than she. It is important to be able to answer question of national proportion with certitudes based on facts and figures. Sarah Palin does not appear to be a woman who is well read, well travelled, or sophisticated enough to hold a Vice Presidential position of any country least of all the USA. She does not appear to have continued her education or self improvement by grasping every opportunity there might have been to learn about the world, people around her, and her own Country.

If this is your issue with Palin, then McCain should make you bite your nails. He only went to college for 1 year.

Only has a Bachelors Degree? I have no idea what that means, but I couldn't care less if she were a high school drop out. Who cares what some stranger told you what to think? Some of us don't get as impressed with what piece of paper you bought from some teachers and are more impressed by life accomplishments. School Board Member, councliman, Mayor, and Governor, amoung other things, surely trumps English 101. Anybody could get a piece of paper saying which books you have read, not everybody could do what it is she accomplished what she did after the strangers gave her permission to leave.

Not as important as knowing whether or not B.O. is an actual natural born citizen of this country, anything else makes him constitutionally ineligible. Or knowing if William Ayers ghost wrote his second book, or knowing what nationality he listed on his college admission papers, what qualified him for the loans and grants...or if Joe Biden really thinks rich people are unpatriotic, or if he really believes that FDR was pres. in '29. Or if Biden still thinks B.O. is not ready to be pres.(on the job training?), or if Biden still thinks Hill'ry would have been a better VP pick than himself,,etc, etc. etc.......

Why should she need any more? She'll get along on her looks and perky personality just like she's been doing since junior high school. And best of all, her constituency wouldn't know a smart person from: a "smart person."
