  • Probably, but I'd wait a little until everything clears and it's not awkward any more.
  • No I would either return it and get my money back or if it was something I could use and wanted I would keep it:)
  • No. Its clear they didn't want the relationship, so they probably don't want the gift either (and they don't deserve it). Enjoy it yourself or take it back and buy something else you'll enjoy.
  • That would be a hell no. I went through the samething myself a few years ago. I bought a gift, we broke up, I went to return it and the person at the store asked me why I was returning it. I said I don't need it anymore.
  • i moved out just before our 10 year anniversary....I received a dozen red roses from my now ex....it was beautiful....but too late...
  • Oh, sure. And if that wasn't pathetic enough, then maybe I would strip myself naked and flagellate myself on her lawn, too. That's a hell no.
  • Yeah, but it would be smeared in dog sh*t.
  • Yeah I would still give them the gift Im kind of like that If i bought it for themno matter what i'll gove it to them :)
  • No, why bother it would mean nothing.
  • No! ... Clinging on to the hope ... only prolongs the pain ... A love had then passed, is greater than no love at all. But when the love has passed, one should remember the good times that passed with it ... without trying to bring them back ... as it is now time for the next stage of wonderful memories to come with another. Keep the gift and close that door. More love somewhere else is searching for you ... and when it comes to a single place ... you will both arrive to meet it together. ♥ finds ♥
  • You should ask yourself why you bought them the gift in the first place. If you are buying gifts to retain their loyalty then by all means keep the gift and get your money back. If you are buying the gift because you wanted them to have it and understand that a true gift is given without conditions, then give the gift and expect nothing. If you cannot give the gift without expecting something in return, then DO NOT give it as it will just be another painful memory!!! Good luck!
  • I'd smash it, then send it in a box to them.
  • It'd probably depend on what I got him, and the circumstances. I had a friend I was really close to who had told me about a video game he really liked when he was a kid and hadn't been able to find again. I found it online for his birthday, and then we had a major falling out (mostly him, really, I wish we were still friends). I gave it to him anyway. If it were something with major resale value, or if we'd had a big fight, probably not.
  • I never got married and id still send a gift if i thought it wouldnt get thrown at me..
  • depends on why we broke up...if they cheated on me, or something in that field then NO...any other reason....then why not?I did initailly buy it for them...so i'd still give it to em.
