I work for an interior designer. She is very wealthy and has everything. Unfortunatley, this year I can't afford to give her a gift that costs more than about $25. Any recipe or creative ideas?

You couldn't go wrong with some beautiful pillar candles and simple candleholders. I just got some beautiful soapstone candleholders from Big Lots for $1.49 ea.

If this woman is wealthy, no matter what you give her, she could probably buy ten of them and probably has ten of them. Even though I don't believe in Christmas because it is compulsory giving, I think if you baked her some cookies or got a simple arts and craft project and made her a thoughful item, it would be much more touching than if you purchased something. She will see how much she really means to you. Hopefully she will give you a little extra something at the end of the year in your paycheck, you sound deserving of a bit more cash.

You can get a very good bottle of American wine for $25., and gift wrap it very cleverly and with flair.

hmmm...i always say go with lighting equipment, meaning a small blacklight bulb. you can get them at spencer gifts for about $1.99. or, something she can really use. i don't know ift there are dollar general store chains where you live, but you could get her an LED flashlight for around 3 - 5 dollars. when you give it to her, tell her it goes in the kitchen drawer or in the glove compartment in her car. those LE flashlights are very handy, and you'd be surprised how many people haven't a flashlight around. the only time you think of getting a flashlight is when there's a blackout. yes, i say get her a flashlight. a nice LED flashlight with an extra set of batteries. that's what my mom and i have been buying for everyone for the past year, and they've always said something like, "you know what, i needed a flashlight!" try that. it should work.

I think the reply about the flashlight is a very good suggestion!!!!!! Try to find a box for it and wrap it very beautifully......she will appreciate the beauty of the package as well as the practicality of the flashlight!!! and try to get one in her favorite color!!! And a nice card in the spirit of the season would be nice to go along with it!!
