If your loan is locked at 6.5% or less, consider yourself fortunate. My long-term rate lock request for my loan officers would be to lock early. Is the rturmoil on Wall Street going to have a long term impact? YOU DARNED WELL BETTER BELIEVE IT! Qualifications that have been tightening for the past 18 months will tighten further. If you have a credit score below 660, you had better be shopping for a house RIGHT NOW, or you may nit own one for the next several years. Credit is about to get REALLY tight. Contract for deed terms are poised to make a HUGE comeback.
