  • immediately do a sea salt soak and wash it gently. Then go see your piercer on the way to see a doctor. Serious pain and severe swelling are signs of infection. Is it producing pus? Not clear lymph fluid, but thick opaque pus that's yellowish or greenish? Is it very red around the piercing? Did you do something you shouldn't have to cause an infection, like changing the jewelry or swimming? If it's infected you probably need antibiotics, and you need to leave the jewelry in until it's healed so it can drain. A smart doctor that wants the jewelry out will insert something else to keep the wound open, so the infection doesn't get trapped inside.
  • its probably infected talk to your actor and piercer immeditally
  • It's an infection. You've only had it for just over a month and you already have a bad infection. I'd see the doctor, get meds for it, and give up on the idea of having a piercing.
