If you see a little piece of skin in front of your tongue ring and you just got it pierced like last friday, does that mean it's infected?

Sometimes the skin comes out from inside the peircing like an extra peice of skin. If your tongue is still Red and swollen though it could be infected. Wash your peircing out with hydrogene peroxide (Hold something tight in your hand first though) Cuz its gonna hurt like %$#@.

The same thing happened to me, don't panic! I was told it goes away as it heals- i wouldn't try anything to remove it while it's still healing or you could do more damage than it's worth. Just give it time to heal.

its just scar tissue...Itll go away after a while but give it time...DONT TRY TO REMOVE IT..it will bleed really bad and just grow back...believe me thats what i did and it just kept coming back..
