  • There is a huge list of causes for premature birth. Smoking is barely on the list.
  • It would be wierd if it were, eh?! Then it could be a "leading cause" of both premature birth *and* 'premature' death! ;-)
  • I am sure alot will say yes, but I think everything is gets blamed on smoking. Just what I think.

  • Hard to say, I never was aware of anyone who smoked before they were born, but I could see obvious reasons why doing so might induce their mother into premature labour.
