  • I don't have this issue but my friends daughter has had this issue. Does your state have a 'Friend of the Court'? If you do, I would contact them and press them to do something to collect on your children's behalf. If you do not have a 'Friend of the Court', you need a lawyer who will be more agressive on your behalf in collecting child support.
  • In most states, you can contact the District Attorney. For some excellent tips and ideas on how to collect child support, scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on "How to Articles", then type "collect child support" in the search box. You will find several articles there.
  • contact a private collections company that specializes in this area. they are tough and will charge 10% or so but get results
  • if your attorney wont deal with it, you may not be able for child support. if you make more income than he, he actually has the right to have you pay him.
