Help answer this question below.

My year truck is 1993 chevy s-10 and i have checked the battery cable , the battery is good, the alternator is good, nno broken wires, what is the problem? why won't the alternator keep the battery charged? could it be the voltage regulator?

    The regulator is built into the alternator. There is a fusable link in the wire between the alternator and the battery. With the battery hooked up there should be battery voltage at the alternator terminal whith the engine not running.
